I am Mario. I’m Mexican, but atm living around APAC.
In the last six months, I graduated from the Polkadot Blockchain Academy Hong Kong Cohort, attended sub0 and participated in the North America Hackathon by AngelHack.
I want to visit Decoded to meet other community members, see old friends, and pitch my project.

Summary of your last six months of activities as an active member of the community:
Over the past six months, I have been working on new approaches to attract users to the ecosystem. I started by creating threads on Twitter + Twitter Spaces and then focused on establishing a new community and trend. Polkadot needs new users, so along with community members, we founded KANARY, a project that now has over 3,000 members, many of whom are new to the ecosystem. We are currently guiding them through educational exploration missions that help users understand and practice with the technology’s tools. Our goal is to create valuable users who are knowledgeable about all the opportunities Polkadot offers. You can see the community and our results here:

Polkadot Decoded is an annual event that brings together the most active community members in the ecosystem. In addition to being a meeting point for the community, it is an event that allows participants to understand and learn about each project and update through presentations. So far, I have attended two Polkadot Decoded events, and they have always been significant for my development and work within the ecosystem. Attending this new event will enable me to acquire new knowledge to continue developing and creating a valuable community.

Current Role: Technical content curator for “Bounty en Español v2”. I also coordinate our Discord server. Participated in a Twitter Space with “Polkadot en Español” to discuss the Bounty’s benefits and encourage OpenGov participation.
Previous Initiatives: Coordinated Polkadot Hackathon Latam 2022, collaborated with Polkadot Hub on Substrate, Ink, and Rust courses in 2023, and co-organized an event at Universidad Ibero in Mexico. Helped organize three events for the Polkadot Blockchain Academy in Buenos Aires.
Recent Event: Coordinated “La revolución Web3: JAM Protocol” on May 10th, where Gavin Wood spoke. Promoted the event and handled participant registrations.
