Hello everyone. I’m Kutsal (kukabi), and I would like to announce my candidacy for the Decentralized Voices program.
I am the founder of Helikon, a crypto-native software development, validator and infrastructure services company based in Istanbul. We are a member of both Kusama and Polkadot Thousand Validators programs, and the IBP (Infrastructure Builders Program).
I hold a computer science background with 20 years of professional experience in the software industry. My career spans leadership and development positions across sectors such as fintech, defense, enterprise/B2B and GIS. I can confidently state that I have a strong intuition for project management and evaluation.
I joined the Polkadot ecosystem in early 2021 and have been actively engaged in development and governance ever since. Helikon’s software products and services alongside the related grants are:
- SubVT (Substrate Validator Toolkit)
- Chainviz, a real-time blockchain visualizer and early-stage block explorer, delivered under W3F Open Grant #1254.
- Chainsynth, an early-stage real-time audio-visual synthesizer operating on live chain data.
I’m especially interested in supporting initiatives that involve:
- Early-stage protocol and tooling development.
- Research in various fields including software, business and marketing.
- Creation of original, high quality educational and promotional content.
- Artworks and creative coding.
What I seek in proposals are:
- A convincing Return on investment (ROI) proposition.
- A proven track record, especially for medium- to large-scale projects.
- Transparency, accountability and measurability.
- High levels of professionalism.
I consider nepotism and populism to be very harmful to the ecosystem, and I have been one of the first individuals to alert the Kusama community about the risks associated with a depleted treasury.
My goal is to bring a beneficial voice of experience and reason into governance through the Decentralized Voices program, and I’m looking forward to further contributing to the ecosystem.
Thanks.
