For the past few years, I have served as a Vara Network ambassador in Latin America, helping to promote the project and connect it with the Polkadot ecosystem. Here are some of my projects:

My focus is to expand the reach of Polkadot/PolkaVM in the region by organizing workshops, co-hosting spaces, and sharing the learnings from Symbiosis with Spanish-speaking communities.

I am a content creator and Community Manager at @tododecripto since 2021. In 2022, I joined Polkadot Mexico (Mexican Collective) thanks to the invitation of Erick Ramos (w3nerick) and Javier Eli Reyes (JaviBlakeCR). Since then, I have been an active member, contributing as a content creator, graphic designer, speaker, and collaborator to ensure our events and activities are carried out successfully.

Why I want to attend Sub0:
This will be my first Sub0, and I want to create as much content as possible about the event—not only for Polkadot Mexico but also for Tododecripto. I want to give the event broad visibility across platforms, sharing updates in real time, recording highlights, and producing recap content to spread the experience to the Spanish-speaking community.

With Polkadot Mexico, we also plan to record interviews with builders, speakers, and attendees to showcase what Sub0 is all about and the impact it has on the ecosystem.

Most importantly, I want to connect in person with the global builder community. Experiencing Sub0 firsthand will allow me to understand how such an important event is organized and inspire us to replicate something similar in Mexico with our collective.

Motivation:
Polkadot is not just a technology for me—it is a passion. I truly believe it is the pioneer in interoperability and scalability, and a leader in the Web3 ecosystem. My goal is to keep building with my friends in the Mexican Collective and to help the community grow in Latin America.

I’m a co-founder of MontaQ Labs, graduated, and met my co-founder, Abhiraj, at the PBA Singapore cohort last year. Specialized in frontend, product design, and blockchain integration. We won first place in the Polkadot Bangkok Hackathon last year with our Polkadot payment product: Relay. We also got a W3F fast grant for building Relay in February 2025. Milkyway2 is a tool created for stakers and validators in the Polkadot, Kusama, Paseo ecosystems that provides a real-time risk scoring dashboard with clear indicators and actionable recommendations, along with validator–staker messaging to improve trust and coordination. Together with my collaborator, we continue refining this project to enhance decision-making and network resilience.

At the same time, I am considering new directions as well—potentially working on other DeFi or privacy products that can add value to Polkadot’s ecosystem. Summary of Last 6 months of activities as community member:

I arrived to the ecosystem during wave 1 of PBA-X in January 2025 and since then it has been a deep dive into the ecosystem. I immediately got involved and have not stopped since :wink:

Here are my main areas of participation:

DN Program: I applied to the W3F’s DN program and have been selected for:

Cohort 2 & 2.1 - 2 Kusama validator nodes

My nodes are located in Colombia & Peru and I am very proud to contribute to decentralization by having very high performing nodes in LATAM despite the latency to more densely populated regions.

OpenGov: becoming active in governance, reading, evaluating and voting proposals, initially on my own as ValidAndina delegate and more recently as a voting member of Le Nexus delegate (DV Cohorts 3 & 5).

Motivation to attend:

For the past 8+ months I have been dedicated 100% to Polkadot & Kusama. Finding this community has been extraordinary for me, since I have been able to find so many other likeminded individuals who are contributing to creating a better world, one based on Web3 values and placing decentralization, ownership and privacy at the forefront. I am convinced that we each bring our own contributions and I feel that I am able to use my skills and experience to build useful connections inside our community. I am particularly interested in governance and education and feel that my current knowledge of our ecosystem combined with my language skills (Spanish, English, French) can be key to interacting with attendees of sub0 symbiosis and help build bridges and introduce our technology to different profiles. I am originally from Colombia (South America) and although I have not lived there for 17+ years, I keep strong ties to my country and the LATAM region and I also contribute to the security of the network with my validator nodes in Bogotá & Lima.   • I am a Senior Ambassador in Polkadot’s new Ambassador Program. Since 2023—the year I started and discovered this blockchain—I have remained consistent in spreading, teaching, and educating about the ecosystem everywhere I go.

Motivation for the Scholarship:

I want to obtain this scholarship to participate in Polkadot Symbiosis. I also want to learn firsthand about all the new updates in Polkadot, connect with more ambassadors and members of the global community, and continue bringing this knowledge to countries like Venezuela, Colombia, and Peru.

I am convinced that this gathering will be key to strengthening alliances, creating new initiatives, and amplifying Polkadot’s impact in Latin America—because blockchain has no borders :globe_showing_americas:. In addition to H.E.R DAO Global we will be part of its Sub0 flagship event in Argentina. I am currently one of the co-founders of the subdao H.E.R DAO Peru. We will also be building projects that we intend to launch in Sub0.

In the past on behalf of Global they have worked with Polkadot to bring developers to New York, ETH Safari and recently we have partnered to bring more diverse developers to the Polkadot Academy in Bali. So this is one more reason to motivate me to apply. :sparkles:

In recent months, I have been deeply involved in the Polkadot ecosystem, both from a technical and community perspective:

  • PBA-X 2025 (PBAX): I participated in the practical learning program, developing and presenting projects built with Substrate, which allowed me to understand everything from pallet creation to their integration into purpose-specific chains.

  • Polkadot Blockchain Academy (Bali, August–September 2025): I graduated from the Protocol (On-Chain) track, focused on the core of the ecosystem. During these weeks I learned directly from Polkadot’s researchers and core developers, with a focus on:

    • FRAME, extrinsics, and metadata.

    • Parachain scalability and security.

    • JAM and the future of the Polkadot Network System.

    • Validation, data availability, and erasure coding.

  • Collaboration and DevOps: I currently contribute to the maintenance and operation of a blockchain network in production, applying practices of security, monitoring, and scalability in distributed environments.

  • Community: I share technical learnings on Polkadot and Substrate through local talks and online content, helping to connect developers and enthusiasts in Peru and the wider region with the ecosystem.

I want to participate in Polkadot Symbiosis in Buenos Aires to strengthen the bridge between the technical knowledge I gained at the Academy and the growing developer community in Latin America. My goals are:

In May 2025, I organized Polkadot Pizza Day in Venezuela (https://mobile.x.com/DOTmeetups/status/1930756886074187939) and in August 2025 I organized the Astar Network Buildathon at Cripto Latin Fest (https://x.com/eziored/status/1958544178431807543?s=46). In 2024, I represented Polkadot at Blockchain Summit Latam in Bogotá and at Cripto Latin Fest in Tegucigalpa.

As editor of LatamBlocks, I have promoted Polkadot through various publications.

I hope to attend these events so that I can continue to replicate everything that is being done in Polkadot and connect with all the great builders in the ecosystem.

Summary of activities in the last six months

Motivation

My main motivation to attend Polkadot Sub0 Symbiosis in Buenos Aires is to strengthen collaboration and networks across Latin America, while also starting to build connections with the global Polkadot community. Through ChileDAO, our main goal is to create these bridges by connecting people, fostering educational spaces, and amplifying the visibility of Web3 and Polkadot in the region. I am especially interested in meeting peers from other regions, understanding what others are building, the challenges they encounter, and the insights they can share. This event is a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, broaden perspectives, and bring back knowledge that helps scale the impact of Polkadot across Spanish-speaking communities, ensuring our local ecosystems are more integrated into the global network.

During the last 6 months my contributions has been:

-Colaborating with the Valencia Meetup (April 2025) with a panel about Polkadot
-Media helping in the event IBW (JUNE 2025)

However, my contributions have been during the last 3 years focusing in managing a community Polkadot “Terreta” (Valencia) and creating content in YouTube focused only on Polkadot ecosystem in Spanish.
I had the pleaseure too for be DV in the second cohort as a collective

Now in October we will represent Polkadot at the Event VDS ( Tech event, will be announced soon)

Which is my motivation for attending the Sub0 event?

Since my first event at Polkadot, I saw the great opportunity to showcase the ecosystem to the end user. It’s much more transparent, and you can show firsthand what the ecosystem is like. This time, being part of Polkadot Spanish, we’ll have the opportunity to bring as much information as possible from a representative Spanish-speaking Polkadot account. My main focus at Sub0 will be to gather all the necessary, accurate, and important information about the ecosystem so that the community can be informed about:

  • Changes in the ecosystem
  • Updates from teams working on it
  • Amplification of Spanish-speaking communities in the ecosystem
  • Collaboration with agents for all necessary outreach
  • Content creation for Polkadot en Español

All of these points are what motivate me to attend Sub0, to help spread the word about this important event in Spanish.
