Hello Polkadot Community!
I’m Horacio Reyes, co-founder of Zalvadora.com and a long-time supporter of the Polkadot ecosystem. With two other team members, we’ve developed a project called SoyPolkadot (Im Polkadot in spanish) aimed at boosting mass adoption of Polkadot in LATAM, especially among end users. Our initiative includes attending major fairs, engaging with local entrepreneurs, and creating educational content to show how Polkadot and its parachains can improve daily life.
A bit about our journey: we’ve been involved in the crypto space since 2013, starting with mining smaller coins, then moving into Ethereum and Monero. We joined the Helium Network project by setting up antennas in Bogotá, and we’ve been staking Polkadot for a couple of years now. We’re big fans of Polkadot 2.0 and JAM, so much so that we’ve converted amayority portion of our savings into DOT. We’re actively contributing as validators on Ethereum and investing in EigenLayer, always looking to reinvest in Polkadot.
We’re reaching out to the community for feedback on our governance proposal before submitting it to OpenGov. Your insights would be invaluable in refining our strategy and ensuring we make the maximum impact.
Please take a look at our proposal here: SoyPolkadot Whitepaper v1.1. We would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions!
Thank you in advance for your support and feedback!
Warm regards,
Horacio Reyes and the SoyPolkadot Team
