Development and Testing of the “Telenova” Experience
With the aim of showcasing one of the ecosystem’s most useful tools for the region, and initially inspired by Jakub’s (Hydration) presentation on stable coins, we developed this experience.
Our goal is to increase awareness of Polkadot by leveraging the easy, fast, and low-cost USDT transfers available through Telegram with “Telenova”. We ensure that users can voluntarily send a minimum amount (1 USDT) after receiving an initial transfer following the wallet introduction.
So far, we have tested this in three completely different contexts with great results: 1-“Crecimiento” Side event, 2- a Corporate event: “Tech Forum”, and 3- a Blockchain event at a University of Mar del Plata City.
1-Telegram download link is shared for those who are NOT users of the platform.
2-Invitation to the “DOT LATAM” group to provide support and answer possible doubts.
3-In order of arrival to the group, “gifts” are sent through Telenova for the amount of x USDT.
4- On a voluntary basis, the return of 1 (one) USDT to the original wallet is requested, with the condition of receiving a new gift (Polkadot swag or more USDT).
5-Reception of feedback, kick-off for deeper conversations about Polkadot. End of the experience.
More than 200 activations were performed on the wallet, receiving excellent feedback both on the experience and the App. This also generated opportunities to discuss Polkadot in greater depth with the participants, inviting them to join the ecosystem as members of the world’s largest DAO.
We believe this method can be very effective especially in regions with high need and acceptance for Stable Coins. Having said that, we are already working to modify it based on all the feedback collected so far and combine it with other even more immersive experiences offered by the ecosystem.
