Hey everyone,

My name is Gabo from Hungary/EU, Polkadot Senior Ambassador.

My past six months of activity:

• Co-organized the CCTF yacht event in Dubai, which was also a Polkadot side event at Token 2049.
• Polkadot Hubs Collective member: I am currently working on opening the next physical Polkadot hub in Budapest for the Polkadot community.
• Constantly building the Polkadot Hungary Community with Vikk, Mildzsu, and Six, both in real life and on-chain:
  -DAO: Co-created the Polkadot Hungary Community as a multisig.
  -Staking: Established the Polkadot Hungary Nomination Pool 1 for the local community (Pool ID: 219).
  -OpenGov: Actively participating in decision-making and representing the Polkadot Hungary Community on-chain.
• Co-organized the Polkadot Championship Hackathon 2023 edition in December in Budapest.
• Co-organized multiple Polkadot meetups and workshops in Budapest and Dubai.
• Attended sub0 Bangkok alongside Mosaic Chain (upcoming Polkadot parachain), where I serve as an advisor as a Polkadot ambassador.

I truly believe that events like Decoded offer immense value in terms of networking and relationship-building. As an Ambassador, I see great potential in establishing meaningful connections with like-minded individuals, developers, and enthusiasts. These connections will not only benefit me personally but also enable me to better support and inspire my local community in Hungary.

Being a host at Decoded 2023 was one of the best experiences since I’ve become part of the Polkadot ecosystem, and this year I would like to experience the event in a different way.

This year I would like to focus on learning from the incredible voices in the ecosystem that are growing their communities in their countries and take note so that we can implement some of their ideas in Spain, and also interact with new members of the community/users/devs.

Moderation team bounty:

I have been active daily in monitoring new joiners to the Polkadot Discord channel to protect the community members from scammers and guide members to maintain a healthy atmosphere on the server.

You can find me on the Polkadot official Discord server with the handle 0xpasta and see the contributions I have made there. Additionally, my profile has the Community Mods badge and the Anti-Scam Team badge.

Anti-scam bounty:

I have been actively fighting scams within the ecosystem. I have assumed several roles in the team over the past couple of years, including:

• Executive member of the anti-scam team. Its roles and responsibilities can be found here.
• Implementer for task 1 (detection and takedown of scam/phishing sites): I have managed to take down 859 scam sites since last December.
• Curator for task 5 (takedowns of other forms of scams: browser extensions, apps, social media accounts): Over the last six months, I have curated 6,434 fake social media accounts (X, Telegram, etc.).
• Implementer for task 3 (bounty dashboard): Created a dashboard (still a work in progress towards production release) which will serve as a hub for scam reporting and providing metrics. Here is the GitHub repo for it.

System Parachains Collator Bounty:

As a curator, my main responsibility is to ensure accurate disbursement of funds from this bounty to the related collators. The payment details can be generated (usually at the end of the month) using a simple CLI tool. More details about this role can be seen here.

Dev contributions:

I am also an active builder in the space as a front-end developer for AZERO.ID, the first on-chain domain service for the Aleph Zero network.

My contributions to open-source projects in Polkadot, such as ink!athon and use-inkathon, should also prove my consistent efforts in building our community together.

Other contributions:

I help manage and inform the unofficial Polkadot community on Telegram (Telegram: Contact @Polkadot_ID). My handle is @husnidotdev.

Why would I like to benefit from sponsorship?

This will be my first Decoded event ever, and as a Polkadot Ambassador, it is very important to attend it at least once. Moreover, connecting with others IRL is essential in the web3 space. The opportunity came when Sub0 was held in Bangkok this year, and I was able to attend it because it was still financially reasonable. I didn’t regret going because it was such an amazing experience. I believe Decoded this year will be groundbreaking and will present rich opportunities in networking and creating valuable relationships for our ecosystem. After the event, I would like to share important knowledge that I gather during Decoded with web3 enthusiasts and dev communities in Bali.
