I wouldn’t say all projects are like user-hostile, but yes, I used that staking dashboard and was wondering how someone can create such a relatively large app and make it so hard to use.
Context: I’ve been a validator on another (not Polkadot) Substrate chain for several years. Earlier this week I was looking at the Polkadot staking app because I thought - because of its powerful-looking interface - it may provide insights we don’t get in our own staking app and despite clicking around for 5-10 minutes couldn’t find anything more useful that we have in our simple staking app. It was worse in fact (in our existing app we also can’t find much, but at least the user doesn’t need to waste time reaching that conclusion).
My second point - which I often mention here - is that this is another example why most treasury tokens should be burned rather than spent as they are…
