Sponsorship Funding for PBAX 1st Round

Hi Polkadot Community,

I would like feedback on putting up a proposal to for support codes on https://pbax.polkadot.academy/ I believe there is an opportunity for current participants and groups we can share this opportunity with.

I personally would want 20 unique codes to share as a kick off.

Can I have one?

If granted, yes! I have a question out to the Events Bounty, because I linked to this forum post and they said I was out of scope. So I am looking to see next steps, if this was just an issue I caused by linking here and not providing enough appropriate context.

Can I ask where are you in the world? My goal is to give them to some local clubs and organizations I have been working with, in addition to giving several out to other Polkadot Agents. Specifically, I will give a few to those in Polkadot who are working with organizations to share.

In my mind, its an attempt to amply other peoples good actions with organizations and give them more tools to help them intro into Polkadot.

I am from India. I am a Rust developer with some experience in DeFi smart contract development. I moved to Polkadot in the middle of this year and currently developing a tool for the ecosystem.

You maybe too advanced for this course , did you watch the video in the link I provided? You sound like PBA material. Have you done that yet?

Watch the video, maybe if not for you, there are people you may want to onboard?

Sorry, I think I am missing some context.

I think PBAx and PBA both are similar things but the mode they operate is changed.

I also do not know the link you are talking about, is that the video on the PBAx home page? But I think PBA is the best place to learn some fundamentals about Polkadot and its architecture.

Link is for PBA-X per video it sounds like this is the 1st iteration of many online classes. https://pbax.polkadot.academy/ please watch the first video. Course says its for all of web3 basic fundamentals. Very happy to give you one for yourself if interested and you believe this would help you on your journey!!

Goal is for those who code, or don’t but have a deep interest in WEB3. I personally would take this because there are technical aspects that I do not understand yet, even if I do not believe I would be good at coding, per say. As it takes more than builders to build an organization or community it will take all of us.

Yeah, I watched the video and I think I should join it to gain some fundamentals about Polkadot from the creator and the core team itself.

By the way, I am building a tool like Foundry (Foundry: A robust framework for Smart contract development in Ethereum) for Ink lang.

You can read more about it here → A Multi-para Chain Smart Contract Development Framework for Ink

So understanding Polkadot and its architecture will help me a lot on my journey.

And thank you for the Opportunity.

I hope you had a great holiday!

I wanted to follow up regarding the PBAx passcodes and our previous conversation.

Have there been any updates about the free passcodes? I’m excited about the opportunity to deepen my understanding of Polkadot and its architecture through the course.

Also, thank you for bookmarking my post! If you’ve had a chance to explore my work, I’d love to hear your thoughts or answer any questions you might have.

Hi! My name is Manuel, I’m from Chile (LatAm) and I’m trying to get a code for PBA-X.

I’m a developer and I’m training in Web3, I’ve already gone through Solidity, Solana and Polkadot training. But I’ve always wanted to participate in Polkadot Academy. I don’t consider myself to have met the merits (and money) for PBA yet, but I’d love to start with PBA-X

Do you know if there’s a way to request codes by presenting merits or arguments for it?

Thank you very much in advance!

Hi Thank you for the follow-up & @manuelpz.dev for the interest in PBA-X! I currently have a request out to @alexandra.dumond for the codes. Unfortunately I have not heard back from her at this time. I tagged her here in hopes that she can reply regarding the request?

At this time I am going to fill out the form here for myself https://pbax.polkadot.academy/offers/hkFCBmvC/checkout However I am also going to send a message via X to this conversation to try and assist you

I will circle back to you once I get to it on my list  x.com for reference. Trying to assist, as I know this information is vital knowledge. I am constantly reading and watching just to understand all that is occurring.

I took a brief look at the terms and conditions and am wondering the dates and times. Attendance in person online is a requirement among many other exercise liabilities. I have not seen a schedule anywhere, or curriculum. I believe we need Polkadot PBA to address these items to ensure online attendance plus personal data information is not clickable.
