Summary of activities(last six months):
Over the past six months, my contributions to the Polkadot ecosystem have been focused on core technical development, mentorship, and community growth, particularly within the African developer community.
Building on Polkadot
As an active member of the Polkadot Technical Fellowship (PTF), my primary work involves building and improving the core infrastructure of Polkadot. My recent contributions are centered on the Collectives Parachain.
Creation of Technical Content & Community Leadership
During my time as a mentor in Polkadot Africa, I created and lead the Runtime Developer Guide. What began as a private study group evolved into a public resource that onboards and mentors developers:
- This mentorship has yielded tangible results, successfully guiding developers in the region to contribute code to the Polkadot SDK, such as adding genesis dev accounts, utility call fallbacks, and proxy pallet view functions amongst other contributions, demonstrating a direct impact on growing the ecosystem’s technical capacity.
Proof of Work
My GitHub activity is focused on the paritytech/polkadot-sdk and polkadot-fellows/runtimes repositories.
Motivation for Sponsorship
Attending the Polkadot Symbiosis in Buenos Aires is a critical opportunity for me to foster:
- IRL Connections with Technical Experts: engaging directly with core developers and project leads, to better structure future content as an independent creator focused on the Polkadot ecosystem.
