Hi Polkadot Community, I’m Dawood, @PetalNet a founder based in North America. I’m developing Petalnet, a DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure) project designed to leverage Polkadot 2.0’s JAM architecture to solve the AI privacy crisis.
The Problem:
Currently, AI compute is a monopoly. Small-to-medium enterprises in North America, Asia, and the Middle East are forced to use centralized clouds (AWS/Google) that compromise their data privacy. Meanwhile, millions of high-end consumer GPUs sit idle.
The Petalnet Solution:
Petalnet is a “Hybrid AI Cloud.” We bridge the gap between:
1. Supply: Idle GPUs from gamers (Global) and unused “Spot Instances” from Big Tech (AWS/Google).
2. Demand: Businesses needing confidential AI processing.
Why Polkadot?
We are building Petalnet specifically for the JAM (Join-Accumulate Machine) protocol. By utilizing Phala Network’s TEEs (Trusted Execution Environments), we ensure that AI data is processed in an encrypted “Black Box.” No other chain can offer this level of multi-core supercomputing combined with absolute privacy.
Our Goals & Revenue Model:
• PolkaPay Integration: Making the blockchain invisible for enterprise users.
• Sustainability: A 5% marketplace fee and arbitrage on Big Tech GPU prices to ensure Petalnet is a self-sustaining business within 12 months.
What I Need Right Now:
I am preparing a proposal for the Decentralized Futures program and a W3F Fast Grant. I am looking for:
1. Technical Partners: Developers experienced with JAM, Substrate, or Phala.
2. Feedback: Suggestions on our “Hybrid Cloud” model and cross-chain scaling.
I believe Petalnet can become a flagship “Service” on Polkadot, driving massive demand for Coretime and the DOT token.
