We are less than two months away from PBA2 in Buenos Aires and preparations are in full swing.
Applications are closed, interviews have been completed and our candidates are now busy working on the Rust entrance exam. The quality of the applications has been really high, with a large proportion of potential students coming from Latin America and in particular, Argentina as was desired. We look forward to working with talented engineers in this region come the start of the Academy in January of 2023.
Our amazing team of instructors is also busy with finalising the content for the Academy. We are delighted that some of the instructors from wave 1 are joining us for wave 2, we are also excited about welcoming new instructors and guest speakers (including contributors from parachains) on board. In addition, two Academy Alumni are supporting us as teaching assistants.
The second wave of the Polkadot Blockchain Academy has become a regional event. We are excited to present our local partner, the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) which will host the Academy in January 2023, and delighted to confirm a collaborative partnership with 12 universities in the region.
The University of Buenos Aires is a fitting home for this next wave of the Polkadot Blockchain Academy. As one of the top universities in the country, it has a long history of groundbreaking research and is known for its diverse international student community.
As in wave 1, the academic lectures will be supplemented by a variety of side-events, more info to follow on these in due course. The learning aspects and academic excellence of the Academy is obviously high priority for us, however, the networking opportunities and connections with like-minded people is of no less importance, hence, we are making a special effort to give the students enough networking opportunities outside the classroom, the biggest parachain launch of 2024 might come from a meeting of minds at PBA2 in Buenos Aires! Bring it on!
