I like the concept of the idea! As part of my contribution of Product Delivery concepts I suggested 2 DAO’s. One is specific to the Inter Miami Club and the second was with the 2 Global Celebrity’s that currently have a charity.
o Charity partnerships- Whatever is dear to the club, Teddy DAO is well positioned here to integrate.
o A charity DAO with Polkadot and Beckham/Messi- This is a personal alliance! This will be a real partnership to help these icons give back to the things that matter to them. Beckham has UNICEF & Messi has UNICEF and his own Barca Foundation (FC Barcelona)|
While I read your proposal I didn’t see any specific ways the foundation would interact. I would be very interested in being part of this initiative. I gave 2 lists of strategic idea’s other than the 2 listed above and I am in the Miami metro area. If you can kindly elaborate on directive action of this foundation I would appreciate it. If done appropriately this can be a global initiate for onboarding.

Thanks for your thoughtful message and for reading the discussion paper for a Polkadot Global Football Foundation 
You ask important questions about governance.
It’s my understanding that the Polkadot Community is still in the process of considering the shirt sponsorship with Inter Miami - that may or may not happen.
While writing this proposal, myself and the other community member assisting me have organised the Polkadot Global Football Foundation in a way that doesn’t try to take over or infringe upon the Inter Miami deal as there are already people in the Community working on that.
Rather, our proposal for a Polkadot Global Football Foundation is organised to provide a framework via a Polkadot Football-specific charitable organisation that provides additional partnership and audience options to further support the Inter Miami deal if it is approved by the Community.
On the other hand, if the Inter Miami deal doesn’t happen, we still believe that the Polkadot Global Football Foundation is a project worth considering on its own merits for the 10 reasons outlined the paper - see
Your comment “Whatever is dear to the club, Teddy Dao is well positioned to integrate”, because it is aimed at Inter-Miami is probably best handled by the Polkadot community people and Orsen who are working on that deal and the direct relationship with Inter Miami. Notwithstanding, I had a look at Teddy Dao and it seems to be a great and worthwhile education project.
Your idea “A charity DAO with Polkadot and Beckham / Messi” involving the Inter Miami owners and players, whilst intriguing, would also best be run past Orsen and the Community Members working on the Inter Miami deal.
In contrast, the mission of the Polkadot Global Football Foundation (PGFF) is to establish a Polkadot Football charitable organisation & partnership with FIFA and UNHCR to strengthen global outcomes in the area of football and world peace.
Activation and activities would be designed and carried out with football fans around the world to build a global narrative around peace, cessation of war, football, Polkadot, FIFA and the UN.
For example, football fans could be invited to submit self recorded videos of people playing football as a way of dealing with post war trauma, solving conflict or spreading peace.
In a time sense, the campaign would be structured in such a way that it runs over 2 years and builds up into a crescendo of global football voices for peace, peaking at the 2026 World Cup in US/Canada/Mexico.
As you can see from our proposal, both FIFA and the UN have programs in the ‘football for peace space’ so it is conceivable that they would partner with the PGFF, provided the right people are involved and the value proposition is clearly communicated to them.
At this stage, we are consulting with the community to seek ideas and feedback.
If we feel that there is strong support for the PGFF, then we will consider putting a budget together for the project and do some more consulting with the Community.
We are at pains to get the process right and want this to be a Community led project, so we will not be rushing into OpenGov with a budgeted proposal unless sufficient support has been indicated across the Community and the relevant frameworks and structures are firmly in place.

Thank you for the reply! My personal feeling are that support around fun, exercise and engagement with kids is always a wonderful initiative, particularly in non optimal situations. Such an initiative can bring hope and motivation and spark positive action and ideas. Help provide positive understanding of Polkadot brand and get kids thinking about wanting to build and become Developers, Engineers, Architects maybe even Product people 
when they grow up.

I noticed football players in some of the images, so my understanding is Polkadot would help fund engagement initiatives, is this similar to “Make a Wish” just Football⚽ focused?

We totally agree with what you are saying about fun and exercise in non-optimal situations such as post-war to help children and communities begin the healing process through football. Yes the Polkadot brand would be in there along with FIFA and UNHCR once those partnerships are established.

Firstly, the constitution of the organisation Polkadot Football Foundation would be worded in such a way that
a. it is aligned with the PGFI 5 principles
b. will actively seek funding from other public and private sources of charitable funding so it is not singularly Dot grant-dependent
c. will engage post-war communities in a healing process using football
Secondly, the PGFF constitution would also have a section on ‘fair engagement’ and given that we will be asking football fans and communities to take football photographs and make short football videos for the PGFF amongst other things. The Foundation will need to incentivize that activity and provide some reimbursement for time and effort. Small amounts of DOT eg 5 Dot or 10 Dot could represent significant incentives for those communities who are often from developing countries. Incentives, that introduce post-war communities to the digital asset economy and Polkadot as a financial education initiative.
Thirdly, the constitution would also have a section targeted towards developers that would provide incentives for them to develop ethical Jam or Dot apps that
a. assist people suffering from post-war trauma to engage with football as a healing process.
b. provide communities in war-torn regions with a way to hold, transfer and exchange financial assets to support life.
The qualification process for such developer incentives would be rigorous to ensure that apps would have the greatest possible positive impact on the community.
Fourth, the PGFF constitution would also have a section targeted towards research that would provide small grants for academics and university students to carry out ethical research on
a. community, child and individual healing through football
b. digital assets as a tool for emergency relief in war-torn countries
