Hey Polkadot fam! ![]()
I’m Rahul, BD & DevRel at TempWallets - we’re building privacy-focused temporary wallets that let people explore DApps across chains without the friction.
But this application is about more than just my day job. It’s about who I am as a builder, community connector, and someone genuinely excited about what Polkadot is building.
Who I Am & What I Do
The Community Builder
I live and breathe Web3 communities. My whole career has been about connecting people, supporting builders, and making ecosystems thrive:
-
Organized OpenHouse2025 - A 3-day villathon in Whitefield, Bangalore during India Blockchain Week. Brought together 50+ hackers, students, and early-stage Web3 teams. It was pure chaos, incredible energy, and some of the best vibes I’ve ever experienced. Pool jumps, midnight debugging sessions, breakthrough moments - that’s what building looks like to me.

-
Active across multiple ecosystems - Arbitrum, Polygon, BNB Chain, Solana, and more. I spend my days managing partnerships, grant applications, hackathon submissions, and sponsorships. My job is to understand what builders need and help them succeed.
-
Community-first mindset - Through DevRel work at TempWallets, I’ve learned that the best projects aren’t just about fancy tech. They’re about real people solving real problems with good UX, clear communication, and genuine support.
What Gets Me Excited About Web3
I’m passionate about making Web3 accessible. Privacy matters. User experience matters. Onboarding the next million users matters more than impressing the existing thousand.
That’s why I built TempWallets - because I saw people hesitant to explore DApps due to wallet complexity and gas fees. We made it simple: disposable, gasless wallets for safe exploration across multiple chains.
Why Polkadot? Why Now?
Honestly, I’ve been watching Polkadot from the outside for a while. The parachain model, the focus on interoperability, the builder community - it all resonates with what I believe Web3 should be.
What draws me to Polkadot:
-
Real technical innovation - Not just another EVM clone, but genuinely thinking differently about how blockchains should work
-
Strong developer community - The Polkadot Builder Parties (like the one at WTFxZo) showed me the energy and quality of people building here
-
Governance that matters - Treasury decisions, OpenGov, Decentralized Voices - this is what real decentralization looks like
I want to contribute not just as a voter, but as someone who can bring feedback from the ground - from the builders, the DevRel trenches, the community events where you see what actually works.
My Governance Philosophy (Keeping It Real)
When I evaluate any proposal, partnership, or opportunity, I ask myself:
“Does this help people? Does this grow the ecosystem in a sustainable way?”
1. Support Builders First
-
Will this make developers’ lives easier?
-
Does this improve onboarding or UX for real users?
-
Are we bringing new people into the ecosystem or just recycling the same crowd?
2. Keep It Accessible
-
Governance shouldn’t be just for whales, technical experts, or insiders
-
Clear communication and education matter as much as the tech itself
-
I support initiatives that lower barriers and amplify diverse voices
3. Think Long-Term
-
Hype fades. Sustainable growth compounds.
-
Track record > promises. Has the team delivered before?
-
Treasury funds should go toward things that create lasting value, not quick wins
I’m not a maximalist. I’m practical. I care about what works, what brings value, and what helps the community grow with good vibes and real results.
My Content Journey & Commitment to Polkadot
Here’s something new I’m excited about: I’m starting my content creation journey focused on Polkadot governance and ecosystem building.
If I’m selected for Decentralized Voices, I’m committing to:
Content & Transparency:
-
Sharing my voting decisions and reasoning publicly
-
Creating content that breaks down governance proposals in simple terms for newcomers
-
Documenting what I’m learning about Polkadot’s governance model
-
Amplifying builder stories and projects in the ecosystem
Community Engagement:
-
Bringing insights from other ecosystems to Polkadot conversations
-
Connecting Polkadot builders with opportunities in my network
-
Organizing more community events (like OpenHouse) with a Polkadot focus
-
Being active in discussions, helping onboard new governance participants
Real Participation:
-
Not just voting - but researching, asking questions, and engaging with proposers
-
Seeking diverse perspectives before making decisions
-
Learning from the community and evolving my views based on evidence
I see this as the beginning of a deeper journey with Polkadot. I want to grow with this ecosystem, contribute meaningfully, and help shape what it becomes.
Why Decentralized Voices?
In BD and DevRel, I’m already a connector - bringing communities together, amplifying voices, supporting good projects. Decentralized Voices feels like the perfect extension of that role.
I want to represent:
-
Builders who are shipping real value but might not have loud voices in governance
-
New participants who want to engage but find governance intimidating
-
Cross-ecosystem perspective from someone active in multiple Web3 communities
-
Practical thinking focused on what actually moves the needle
Let’s Build Together
If you’ve made it this far - thanks for reading!
I’m genuinely pumped about this opportunity. Not just to participate in governance, but to learn from this community, contribute my perspective, and help Polkadot grow in the right direction.
I’m here for the long game. Let’s build something awesome together.
Always open to chat, collaborate, and vibe.
Let’s gooo! ![]()
