Devcon 8 - Mumbai is around 25 days away and all the major ecosystems are having some events around the Devcon week. Currently the Polkadot ecosystem does not have anything planned.
As Mumbai is our homeground, we did some venue, food/print vendors scouting and are very confident of hosting 2 day Sub0 conference for 300-400 people (1 main stage, 2-4 side-stages, products featurette section, networking lounge) in less than 10k USD budget. If we propose this as a big tipper, we will still get more than 15 days for all the preparations and marketing which seems ample for the Indian events scenario.
We (GRYD, previously Edgetributor SubDAO) have demonstrated large scale event execution for Polkadot previously through the Goa AssetHub Hackathon. So far we represented Polkadot in India through 4 Hackathons, 1 Hackerhouse, Series of 6 workshops each in 4 top Indian Universities and 18 tech meetups/mini-workshops!
So the question boils down to whether the community is interested in making this happen? Looking forward to hear everyone’s thoughts
