Question: Guidelines for Introducing an Independent Substrate Project

Hi everyone,

I’m currently building Orbinum Network, a Substrate-based privacy-focused L1, and I’d like to introduce the project to the Polkadot community.

Before posting the project introduction, I wanted to check the forum guidelines regarding project promotion.

Are there any specific rules or recommendations for introducing an independent Substrate-based project? For example, are technical project presentations, testnet announcements, ecosystem integrations, and community updates allowed, or are there specific sections/formats that should be used?

We’re also interested in contributing to and collaborating with Frontier, particularly around EVM compatibility. However, we’ve noticed that there seems to be relatively low activity around the project recently. Is Frontier still open to external contributions and collaborations?

I’d like to make sure the post provides useful technical information and contributes to the discussion rather than being considered promotional spam.

I would say it’s generally fine as long as it stays relevant to Polkadot or Substrate and provides useful information instead of just advertising the project. I would just avoid any price, investment, or token sale discussion, as that is not allowed on the forum.
