Introducing ParaXerve: NFT Marketplace on Polkadot

Hello Polkadot Community! :wave:

Happy weekend! I’m a web2 developer with over 5 years of experience. For the past few years, I’ve been deeply curious about blockchain technology and have decided to dive in by building this project. This is my first landing in the Polkadot ecosystem, and this hands-on approach allows me to learn while creating something valuable for the ecosystem. I’m excited to introduce ParaXerve, a new NFT marketplace project I’m building on Polkadot.

Why Another NFT Marketplace?

I believe there’s still significant growth potential for NFT marketplaces in the Polkadot ecosystem. After researching existing solutions (listed on Polkadot Wiki), I noticed several opportunities for improvement, particularly the lack of testnet support for NFT trading.

My goal is to lower the barrier of entry for creators and collectors, making it easier to mint and trade NFTs on Polkadot. By building user-friendly tools and features, I aim to attract more people to the Polkadot ecosystem.

Current Progress

Over the past two months, I’ve been developing both backend and frontend features. Users can now create collections and mint NFTs on Westend and Paseo testnets for experimentation purposes. Several features are still under development, such as NFT purchasing and user profile pages. In Q1, I’m focusing on completing these basic functionalities.

Roadmap

Q2: Chain Expansion

I’m planning to expand to other chains like Moonbeam, Astar, or Mythos. Regarding Mythos, I’m still exploring the possibility of displaying their NFTs. My intention isn’t to compete but to contribute to the Polkadot ecosystem’s growth, especially given their attractive and high-quality NFTs.

Q2/Q3: Team Building & Sustainability

  • Build UI/UX and marketing teams for better design

  • Develop sustainability strategies:

  • Implementation of marketplace fees

  • Featured collection advertisements

  • Marketing through short videos

  • Social media advertising campaigns

Q3/Q4: Feature Enhancement

  • Research and implement successful features from other NFT marketplaces

  • Develop unique features (currently in research phase, will share more details when 25% progress is achieved)

I’m looking forward to collaborating with the Polkadot community and welcome any feedback or suggestions.

can we have other brand name option?

Hi, sure! If the brand name conflicts with an existing platform or if most users don’t like the name, I will try to find an alternative brand name

Do you have plans to add Unique Network collections to your trading platform? And Unique SDK in general?
