✨ October 2025 Updates to the Ecosystem Resource Center

Last year, Distractive launched and has been managing the Ecosystem Resource Center (ERC) to give ecosystem teams the tools and support they need to grow and thrive.

Today, we’re excited to share a fresh round of updates that make the ERC even more useful, visual, and action-oriented for all Polkadot contributors.

:new_button: Here’s what’s new:

:movie_camera: Revamped Programs Page
We’ve restructured the Ecosystem Programs page with an improved layout, better navigation, and up-to-date overviews. Discover programs like Think Pink, The Decentralized Mic, and our newest one, featuring Parity, Peer3, and StellaSwap, Into The Blocks—each designed to spotlight Polkadot builders & use-cases, making the ecosystem more accessible to new audiences.

:diamond_with_a_dot: New Polkadot Brand Guide
We’ve added the official Polkadot Brand Deck, featuring updated color palettes, typography, booth visuals, and logo usage guidelines—all in one Figma link for easy reference and collaboration.

:world_map: Updated Ecosystem Map
The Ecosystem Teams Map has been refreshed with the latest active projects, making it easier than ever to explore who’s building what across Polkadot.

:megaphone: Social Content Themes by Distractive
Looking for inspiration for your next post or campaign? The new Social Content Themes page highlights trending narratives across the ecosystem, helping teams align with ongoing conversations and amplify their reach.

:artist_palette: TechCrunch Booth Design Templates
Planning an event or activation? The new Event Booth Design hub includes booth blueprints, visual assets, and practical examples like Polkadot’s TechCrunch booth—ready to adapt for your next conference or community event.

:books: New Polkadot Glossary
We know Web3 terms can get confusing—so we built a Polkadot Glossary: your go-to resource for decoding blockchain jargon and CT slang. It’s concise, beginner-friendly, and perfect for onboarding new community members or collaborators.

We’re continuously improving the ERC based on community feedback—so if there’s something you’d like to see, let us know!

Thanks a lot for this report, but it seems to me that we have already pointed out to you several times that the ecosystem map is incorrect… many projects have not existed for a long time….

Guys, seriously, after so many talks, deleted tweets… you can’t seriously share such an outdated map as latest one.
Please tell me that’s just a wrong link, please…

@bLd @Rom1.io Thank you for your responses! You were correct; the image was from March 2025. I’ve edited the page and kept only the Polkadot Ecosystem and the JUST Open SourceMap pages. We should use websites for this purpose since they are much easier to update than images.

@ivans - unfortunately this page doesn’t seem to be updated either as there are existing projects that have left / are in the process of leaving the eco as well.

RMRK sunset operations in March ?
Centrifuge –> Ethereum ?

Polimec still listed on .com under DeFi - Web3 DeFi Use Cases | Decentralized Finance on Polkadot - wound down operations a couple months ago.

Also - on the page - of polkadotecosystem.com - when hovering over one of the products in wallets or block explorers, the selection turns into a black bar and an ‘I’ symbol (usually for text edit) appears.

Mobile does not seem to be very friendly either.

Hello @Juba.K, thanks so much for the detailed feedback — really appreciate you flagging this :folded_hands:

I’ll reach out to the dablock.com and Just Open Source teams to confirm whether they’re still maintaining their websites and to see if an update is already planned to fix the issues. In the meantime, if you’re aware of any other ecosystem maps or resources that are more current or actively maintained, please feel free to share them here — we’d be happy to include or reference them in the Ecosystem Resource Center to keep everything as accurate and useful as possible.

Thanks again!

Hello @Juba.K , @ivans and ecosystem folks! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: :waving_hand:

About the Polkadotecosystem.com portal:

  1. The portal is updated frequently, especially the English version. Other language versions (es/fr/it/pt/de) are updated less frequently, giving priority to pages that we see as receiving more organic traffic.

  2. It is the largest curated source on the ecosystem. Intuitive and ready to serve as a reference for generating any type of content or context to onboard new power users. I encourage everyone to use it as a reference when updating other informative portals, including polkadot.com, and similar projects.

  3. The entire portal and its content are open and accessible in our public GitHub repository, where you can track every update and even collaborate or ask for any suggestion.

  4. The portal is fully responsive. On mobile, scroll horizontally inside tables to view all columns. Only the table will move.

  5. Thank you @Juba.K for flagging the table view issue on the Light theme. I usually browse in Dark mode, so I missed it. Will solve that asap. Pull requests with suggestions or small fixes are always welcome on GitHub too!

Here I’m sharing a informal video I just recorded if someone would like more context and updates on my recent activity with this project.

A few quick notes

  1. I am not involved in managing the portal hosted under Polkadot.com. Some months ago I shared a short informal video clip with suggestions for updating the apps and projects directory. I also sent a document at the time (deleted it recently while cleaning up files, tbh).
  2. I recently repurposed one of my X accounts (@PolkadotAtlas) to represent the Polkadot Ecosystem project exclusively. Directory updates, including new projects and resources, are shared there (example) and on reddit r/polkadot.
  3. Open door. Marketing/content teams, directors, and curators can ping me anytime. I’m happy to answer questions and share practical recommendations or feedback.
  4. Contributions welcome. If you spot gaps or have a project to add, send a PR or ping me, happy to review quick.
  5. I’ve kept this work going for months without funding this year, mostly on weekends and in my free time, so perfecting every detail can’t always be the priority. And since I was mentioned in this thread, tips to help cover costs and a bit of the time invested are always appreciated^^. I’m also happy to work on any feasible suggestions.

Thanks for reading.

Thanks @LV5

Your work is appreciated.

@LV5 - may be a good idea to double check on which teams have officially sunset operations as to not have newcomers end up at dead links, 404’s or cross reference a project on coinmarket cap only to see disparaging news.

This was the point I was alluding to about Polimec still being a case study on on .com
Research will ultimately lead here -

Probably best if we aim to retain any newcomers and their curiosity with projects still live and existing.

@ivans would be nice to get a full review of dapps / rollups that are no longer alive and update accordingly.

Thanks

Exactly, it’s what I explained in the video shared in the previous post, about the importance of this curated and fully open portal as a reference for other teams, media outlets, etc., since there’s nothing more up-to-date and intuitive.

In the last big cleanups I must have archived more than 30 profiles (sadly).

Following that example, the Polimec project was archived on July 28, 2025, on the PolkadotEcosystem(.)com portal, the same day the news broke.

We just need to give visibility to dapps that users can use.
Showcase user-ready dapps. Archive failed projects and learn from them, but don’t include them on pillar pages or public listicles.

Thanks for following up and totally agree with your points :+1: @LV5 @Juba.K

Just to clarify — Polimec has already been removed as a case study from the polkadot.com website. The Distractive team regularly reviews and updates the dApp registry to ensure that only active, live projects are featured, and we’ll continue doing so to keep the ecosystem list as accurate and relevant as possible.

We completely agree on the importance of maintaining a curated list that showcases real, usable dApps — as @LV5 mentioned, the goal is to give visibility to projects that users can actually engage with. That’s also something we try to reinforce beyond the website through ongoing programs and community campaigns like Think Pink, which spotlights live apps and real use cases across the Polkadot ecosystem.

Appreciate the feedback and alignment on this. Let’s keep the good work :raising_hands:

@ivans From first post.

Thanks.
