Kuma wallet was prepared in more than 6 months. Our biggest supporters have always been the Web3 Foundation and the Polkadot team. The Astar Network community also gave us great feedback on the beta testing. The cryptocurrency world is evolving rapidly, and so are the problems users face when managing their assets across different blockchain networks. The need to make asset management and transfer seamless between different chains is at the core of the Kuma Wallet project. Kuma Wallet is the first cross-chain wallet that enables seamless management and transfer of assets between EVM and WASM chains.
Technical specifications and integrations:
Kuma Wallet is developed using technologies such as Vite, React, String, Tailwind and Polkadot API. Various chains, networks and tokens are supported. Asset management is possible on various networks such as Astar, Acala, Shiden, Moonriver, Polkadot, Kusama, as well as EVM supported Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum and Polygon.
Project goals and vision;
Kuma Wallet has a user-friendly interface. Operations such as transferring assets to EVM and WASM chains, creating accounts and transferring assets with XCM integration are presented in an intuitive way.
The objectives of the project are as follows:
-
Seamless asset transfer: It securely and quickly transfers assets between accounts on different chains. This eliminates time-consuming and complex transactions for users.
-
User-friendliness: Kuma Wallet helps users manage their assets easily and conveniently by simplifying complex cross-chain asset management.
-
Decentralised and open source structure: It provides a decentralised and open-source structure to ensure reliability and security.
-
Transparency: Promotes transparency and accountability for all transactions by displaying transaction details and browser links.
-
Secure dApp interaction: Kuma Wallet provides a secure platform for signature transactions and for users to interact with dApps securely and seamlessly.
Security is our priority;
Security is a priority in the development of Kuma Wallet. MetaMask’s keychain concept is used, which ensures that private keys are stored locally on users’ devices and are only accessible by them. Furthermore, encryption techniques such as PBKDF2 iteration and AES-GCM mode are used to enhance the security of private keys.
A feature is also introduced that allows users to see the availability of various parachains before making their transfers. This ensures that transfers are smooth and secure.
To summarise;
Kuma Wallet is an important step forward in cross-chain asset management and transfer. Its user-friendly interface, security-oriented approach and wide range of features make it easy for users to manage and transfer their assets between different chains. This project is an example that contributes to the development of the crypto world and significantly improves the users’ experience.
