OSRD – Open Space for Research & Development

At OSRD, we are building a community to promote DeSci (Decentralized Science) in the Polkadot ecosystem. Our goal is to help scientific research become more open, transparent, and decentralized by supporting projects that use blockchain to solve real-world problems.

We have been conducting research on DeSci, the research space, publishing, and traditional academia as a whole since January 2025. After gathering enough knowledge, we are now ready to serve the community. From today, we will share our research, insights, and everything we know about DeSci with the Polkadot community.

Our Mission

We want to bring more awareness to DeSci on Polkadot. By sharing knowledge, insights, and real-world examples, we aim to help more people understand and support DeSci.

Our 2025 Goal

By 2025, we aim to help 10 DeSci projects launch on Polkadot. We will support them by providing visibility, sharing insights, and building connections to help them succeed.

What We Are Doing

We create easy-to-understand content that explains DeSci, explores real-world use cases, and showcases how Polkadot empowers DeSci.

  • Content: We publish in-depth Medium articles weekly and Twitter threads every other day.
  • Community: We share our growth and achievements weekly on Reddit and forums.
  • Engagement: We interview founders and host discussions to encourage new DeSci projects.

How We’ll Achieve Our Mission

We will educate, engage, and collaborate with researchers, developers, and the broader crypto community. By creating useful content, building partnerships, and promoting innovation, we aim to grow the DeSci movement on Polkadot.
