Does Kusama Asset Hub actively accept anything other than Kusama?

Kind of curious because I used to use atomic swaps to buy Kusama (from Polkadot, since there is no other way to do it? Hydration has no options to migrate assets into Kusama), but the pair trading is now inactive.

I can’t access my staking dashboard for Kusama either, nor is it actively registering as staked in a pool, yet it is all available in Asset Hub (staked), no options to claim.

I’m wondering what’s the whole purpose of isolating Kusama in Asset Hub if there is no way of accessing or transferring or swapping anything in there. Is this going to happen to Polkadot too down the line, without working the bugs out?

There are multiple ways of going from DOT to KSM such as:

Kusama shield:

and snowbridge: Snowbridge

Thx for the tip. I try to not connect my wallet to outside sources and also don’t use Talisman (or bridges).

Hopefully once the Polkadot Asset Hub transfer goes ahead, it won’t be as much of a headache?

It’s just too bad that these features aren’t built into the main wallet dapps themselves, and we have to rely on 3rd Party dapps to initiate transfers such as these, especially between two interconnected networks?

(I got my Atomic Swaps to go through again)

Vitalik has been saying stuff around these lines as well, wallet providers should integrate tools such as shield.markets, but requires the wallet provider to maintain it.. We have great tech to do cross chain transfers(snowbridge) it just requires more than a balance transfer transaction… But since the ethereum proxy will stable soonish, you should be able to use any EVM compatible wallet with it. I think its good that we have lots of different dapps by different independent teams that can make custom transactions depending on there usecase. I think most projects just integrate wallet connect(https://walletconnect.com/) and call it a day, is wallet connect supporting your wallet?

Wallet Connect has never worked for me. I do not know why, but I’ve just written off ever using it because I’m an Android Power User. I’d prefer to not have my wallet linked on a computer, to scan a QR code to connect my wallet, when I have considerably more security on my handheld device than I do on any PC I’ve ever owned?

My brother was/is a pretty notorious hacker, and whenever I’m around him I’m very careful what I do with my technology. The things he can do with computers is like magic. He’s a technology warlock, and if he can do it, anyone else can too!
