Building the New Highways: How Blockchains Can Take Ownership of Their Networks

The future of the decentralized kingdom lies in building new decentralized highways atop the Web2 infrastructure. Blockchain projects today have the financial resources and technical expertise to fully own and operate their networks. By acquiring their service routers and utilizing the same interconnection points as ISPs, these projects can establish global decentralized networks, expanding the kingdom without reliance on traditional service providers.

Let’s break it down:

1. Strategic IBX Deployment:

Blockchain projects can place service routers at IBX locations (like Equinix data centers), connecting directly to Tier 1 or 2 providers. This allows the project to control its global traffic flow while still leveraging the infrastructure built over the last 20 years.

2. Decentralized Routes:

Instead of leaving routing decisions to traditional ISPs, blockchain projects can manage their own BGP or MPLS routes, allowing decentralized traffic to flow across custom-built paths.

3. New Experts Teams:

Blockchain projects don’t need to rely on ISPs; they can hire network engineers or partner with service providers to design and implement these decentralized highways. Once the infrastructure is set up, blockchain teams can train their staff to maintain and operate these routes independently.

This approach enables blockchain projects to build their decentralized interstates, allowing for global reach without relying on traditional Web2 systems.

Now if only some one wanted to pay for that.

Well, with just 40 million, I’m pretty confident that you can establish a real network of next-generation DePIN internet infrastructure. Revenues are obvious, as you’re currently generating them for major providers like Equinix, Arelion, and innumerable intermediaries.
You are already paying for that.
