I know that this was discussed a while back but I haven’t heard any updates in quite some time.
All relevant PRs are merged in polkadot-sdk
and the only steps left are proceeding with deploying the new pallets in fellowship/runtimes
, assuming audit and testing in westend goes well. @ankan is leading the effort in all things related to this goal.
What I suggest is to keep this forum post as a tracking discussion about how the above steps goes. It would also help wallet developers to follow along and make sure integration work goes well.
Lastly, this is the public element room related to all things staking.
The original issue on Github was this one: [NPoS] Nomination pools: Allow funds to be used for democracy · Issue #454 · paritytech/polkadot-sdk · GitHub
That one is closed now, and I think this is the new one for follow-on work: [Pools] Follow up issues/improvements for Pools open gov integration · Issue #4404 · paritytech/polkadot-sdk · GitHub
I believe these are all the relevant PRs:
- Refactor Nomination Pool to support multiple staking strategies by Ank4n · Pull Request #3905 · paritytech/polkadot-sdk · GitHub
- Allow privileged virtual bond in Staking pallet by Ank4n · Pull Request #3889 · paritytech/polkadot-sdk · GitHub
- Introduces: Delegated Staking Pallet by Ank4n · Pull Request #3904 · paritytech/polkadot-sdk · GitHub
Thank you Bill! Much appreciated!
bump. is there an update? PJS still tells me this will come soon™
