Treasury Proposal: Polkadot-API Developer tools UI

At LimeChain, we’re happy to unveil our proposal for revolutionizing the developer experience on Polkadot with the introduction of enhanced features leveraging the Polkadot-API (PAPI). Recognizing the pivotal role of developer tools in driving blockchain protocol adoption, our aim is to streamline developers’ workflows and elevate their interaction with the protocol through our proposed enriched UI utilizing the new emerging light-client first library Polkadot API. While acknowledging the current Polkadot.JS (PJS) application’s usefulness, we see opportunities for enhancing both its UX and functionality to better serve a diverse range of users, including Hosts, Runtimes, Dapp, and Parachain developers. This will be done by utilizing it’s newly emerging successor PAPI.

Key Features:

Key features include seamless exploration of the Polkadot ecosystem, providing developers with light-client enabled insights into blocks, chain state, calls to the new JSON-RPC functions, SCALE message operations, and more. Additionally, our application features an integrated IDE for rapid prototyping, enabling users to create quick proof of concepts directly within their browser tabs using PAPI, with support for real-time interaction with the Polkadot.js API.

Why Should You Vote Aye:

By backing our proposal, you’re not just supporting an improved UI for Polkadot.js API; you’re fueling innovation and driving progress within the Polkadot ecosystem. Our project aims to enhance the developer experience, making it more intuitive, efficient, and enjoyable. With a user-friendly interface and powerful features like real-time block and data exploration, and integrated IDE, developers will have the tools they need to build the next generation of decentralized applications on Polkadot, powered by PAPI. Your vote in favor of this proposal signifies your commitment to advancing the Polkadot ecosystem and helps developers unleash their productivity.
