We actively support Ruby proposal.
After all, who else but us, who were among the first to be accepted into 1KV?
Important for all validators and community members!
The WFC proposal “Transparency & Fairness in DN Validator Selection” is now live.
This is our chance to demand:
-
clear and measurable selection rules,
-
committee accountability,
-
fair access for all operators.
Every vote matters - let’s make DN more transparent together.

The DN Programme Cohort 3 is one of my biggest disappointments in Polkadot. After betraying the original ambassadors (from 2019–2022), the DN program is the second disappointment. It all looks not good.
Get the right people for the job, guys.
Nobody cares about people who have contributed for years. It’s bad for the ecosystem.
@BILL , after the 3rd DN cohort results were published, several validators privately reached out to thank me for raising this issue. Many also admitted that they don’t feel safe to speak publicly, as they fear potential negative consequences from the DN committee - such as being ignored in future cohorts or suffering reputational damage.
This is troubling because it reveals a lack of psychological safety and trust in a process that should be transparent and community-driven.
Given your position as Vice President of Web3 Foundation, your stance carries significant weight.
So I’d like to ask directly:
What concrete assurances can the Foundation give to validators that constructive criticism or disagreement with the DN process will not result in any form of direct or indirect retaliation?
Additionally, I believe it would send a very strong and positive signal to the community if @GAV himself could find the time to join this discussion - even briefly. His involvement would give many validators hope that they are not left alone to be “fed” to the DN committee, and that the leadership truly listens when trust is at stake.
Every voice matters.

We, the independent validators, must stand united right now.
Likes and
comments also matter - pay attention to who is defending the status quo.
We are independent validators - the very foundation of Polkadot’s vision.
Act now or never.
It’s truly encouraging to see thoughtful and well-reasoned support emerging from the validator community.
This isn’t about confrontation - it’s about coherence between the values Polkadot stands for and the processes that shape its decentralization.
The comments above perfectly capture the spirit of this referendum: transparency, accountability, and trust.
Every independent validator is a heartbeat of Polkadot.
Together we form the living proof that decentralization isn’t a slogan - it’s a commitment.
Let’s defend it. Let’s act.
