Dear Polkadot Community,
At Polkadot Americas, we remain firmly committed to the growth and expansion of Polkadot’s presence throughout our region. In this spirit, we recently submitted a proposal to the Marketing Bounty, requesting $28,000 USD to support six months of activities focused on marketing and community development.
We have received feedback on our request. Although it was not approved through the Marketing Bounty, we were advised that OpenGov is the more appropriate channel for this type of funding. We see this not as a setback, but as a strategic opportunity to learn, adapt, and strengthen our approach to funding within the ecosystem.
We’d like to take this opportunity to share a few milestones we’ve achieved over the past four months of consistent work, from April to now:
Over 30 livestreams hosted
A total of 10,000 views accumulated
Our Twitter account has surpassed 200 followers
These numbers reflect the steady growth of our community and the genuine interest our initiative has sparked across the region.
We are highly motivated to keep building on this momentum and see OpenGov as the ideal path to secure the necessary resources and make this effort sustainable. We are currently preparing a solid and transparent proposal, which we will soon submit to the community through the OpenGov mechanism.
Stay tuned for upcoming updates! We’ll be sharing how we plan to move forward with OpenGov and how your participation will be key in co-creating the future of Polkadot in the Americas.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
Warm regards,
The Polkadot Americas Team
