Runtime release notification
Hello,
This is to advise you that the Polkadot community is currently voting to upgrade the Polkadot system to the v2.3.0 release.
This is a major runtime upgrade that introduces a flexible minimum validator set size on Relay chains and lowers the default limits to 100 validators for Kusama and 250 validators for Polkadot.
Adjusting the size of the active validator set is part of the Dynamic Allocation Pool (DAP) roadmap and will enable a more efficient use of the available resources by scaling the number of validators based on the demand for cores, smart contract interactions, and usage of Polkadot’s infrastructure.
Important note for Ecosystem builders:
This release provides an upgrade to the pallet recovery which allows users to have friends or family recover access to an account in the specific case of a lost seed phrase or private key.
