IIUC, one way to improve the capital-allocation efficiency in securing the Polkadot ecosystem is being discussed here:

Suggestion to offer liquid staking at Common Good Parachain

Different staking pools have different risk profiles as they have different criteria of choosing validators. I.e. liquid dot backed by stakers of one pool would not be fungible with liquid dot backed by stakers of a different pool. How liquid would a liquid would a liquid staking token be if it was tied to one staking pool? Would this be a force leading towards having a few really big staking pools dwarfing the others?

Based on my current understanding, this would also be a way to remove/weaken the centralized nature/feature of Polkadot.
