Madar Ops Pro: hosted, chain-only monitoring for Polkadot & Kusama validators (stash address only)

Hi all,

A validator only earns while it works, and a monitor that runs on the same server goes down with it. So we built Madar Ops Pro: it watches a Polkadot or Kusama validator from outside your infrastructure, using public chain data only. All it needs is your stash address — no server access, no keys, no proxies, nothing to install.

What it alerts on

  • Active in the session but earning no era points for 60 minutes (node down, out of sync, or session keys not matching)
  • Chilled or blocked (no validator intention on Asset Hub)
  • Not elected in the active era
  • A slash recorded for your validator
  • Commission changed (useful if staking keys are ever compromised)
  • Unclaimed rewards a few eras before they expire

It reads both sides of the post–Asset Hub-migration layout: the relay chain (Session.Validators, StakingAhClient.ValidatorPoints) and Asset Hub staking (Validators, ErasStakersOverview, slashes, ClaimedRewards).

About the 60-minute threshold: we sampled ValidatorPoints for all 598 Polkadot validators every 4 minutes for an hour. Healthy validators regularly went 32 minutes without new points, and a few up to 48. A 30-minute rule would have woken up roughly one operator in five for nothing, so we use 60.

Alerts go to the ntfy phone app (we create a private topic), or to a Discord / Slack / Matrix webhook. One message when a problem starts, reminders while a critical one lasts, one message when it is resolved.

Pricing: 7-day free trial, then $15 per validator per month or $150 per year, paid in USDC or USDT on Solana, Base or Arbitrum, straight to our wallet. No card, no account; you manage the subscription with a key.

If you would rather self-host, the free and open-source Madar Ops (Apache-2.0) runs next to your node and watches it from the inside (disk, peers, sync, finality). Source: MADAR/ops at main · MADAR-NETWORK/MADAR · GitHub
