Lava: Boosting Polkadot’s UX & DevX

Hey all! I’m Yuval, leading BD for Lava Network. We make it easy for chains and rollups to bootstrap, scale and manage their RPC infra. Our proposal aims to boost Polkadot’s UX and DevX, by launching an enhanced public RPC endpoint.

TLDR
Public RPC is the main entry point for users & devs to Polkadot or any other Parachain. Our goal is to make this initial on-chain interaction super fast, reliable and scalable, and to ensure high user retention rates.

Lava’s RPC Pools allow Polkadot to fund and optimize its infra by aggregating top data providers under a unified endpoint and rewarding them in DOT according to their performance.

Main benefits:

  1. Users: Get a single endpoint to get started, super reliable, with optimized performance for every user.
  2. Polkadot team: significantly reduces the burden of running their own infra, and managing multiple third party providers.
  3. Fund public infra in DOT instead of fiat!!
  4. Ecosystem & Community: Infra budget is used to also attract and engage strong users and contributors.

Experience
Lava is already the go-to RPC Provider on Near, Axelar and Evmos powering leading apps, wallets and dev-tools. Lava’s mainnet is going live this summer, afterwards we’re going to launch RPC Pools in partnership with Starknet, Filecoin, Cosmos Hub, Union, Stargaze, Koii, and more TBA

Our initial partnerships with Evmos & Axelar recently ended, and were both renewed with higher budgets - showcasing the value Lava provides to ecosystems.

Hello all!
This is Grint, the Product Lead at All That Node, an RPC Node Provider service.

We are currently partnering with the LAVA Network to expand RPC infrastructure across various protocols. In fact, we have already collaborated on projects like NEAR, Axelar, and Evmos, where our collaboration with the LAVA Network has successfully lowered entry barriers and enhanced the overall user experience within these ecosystems. Our goal is to continue playing an important role in these meaningful initiatives as a trusted partner.

We believe that by extending the benefits of the LAVA Network to Polkadot, users can experience similar improvements and contribute to the growth and success of the network.
