Hello Polkadot Forum — we’re Birdbrain.
Birdbrain is a shared memory system for the Kusama / Polkadot ecosystem. It started from a practical problem: people across the network were often solving similar problems in separate rooms, with no shared place that remembered the work already done.
Under the hood, Birdbrain turns calls, transcripts, project notes and public artefacts into a queryable world model. The aim is not just to archive discussion, but to help the network notice repeated questions, adjacent work, unresolved decisions and useful connections between projects.
We wrote a short piece on why we’re called Birdbrain here:
A little on the mechanics. Birdbrain is built around membership, not passive readership — and that membership is on-chain. Members are held as a membership set on Kreivo (the Virto community parachain secured by Kusama), so identity and participation live in the Kusama stack itself rather than as off-chain accounts bolted onto a website. Each membership requires KSM: joining means holding/committing KSM on Kreivo, which grounds contribution in the same economic substrate as the rest of the ecosystem.
The short version: we’re building a place where the Kusama flock can remember together.
More soon — for now, hello.
