Hello Polkadot DAO community,
I’m excited to share a new MVP I recently developed for DAO and fund treasuries: a deterministic on-chain transaction audit and reporting tool.
While there are existing blockchain accounting and reporting solutions, this MVP was designed to address a key gap: reproducibility and audit-grade trust.
Why This MVP Stands Out
| Feature | Existing Services | Our MVP |
|---|---|---|
| Deterministic Calculations | Black-box approaches; same input may yield inconsistent results | Same input always produces identical output; calculation method versioned (v0.1, v0.2…) |
| Explicit Accountability | Limited or unclear responsibility | All figures are fully traceable to on-chain transactions; methodology explicitly documented |
| Transparent Calculation Rules | Often undocumented rounding, missing data handling, or price sources | Every rounding, USD conversion, and missing data handling is fully documented and reproducible |
| Audit-Ready Reporting | Usually provides CSV only or incomplete summaries | Standardized PDF + CSV, summary + detailed transaction table, fully traceable to tx hashes |
| Immediate PoC | Usually requires account setup, subscription, or integration | One address in → full report generated in minutes; ready for direct evaluation |
How It Works
-
Input any Ethereum address (initial support for Ethereum; Polygon coming soon).
-
Generate a PDF and CSV report including:
-
All transactions, dates (UTC), assets, inflows/outflows
-
USD conversion with explicit source and calculation version
-
Full traceability to on-chain data
-
-
Optional demo review: methodology and responsibility clauses included, making the report audit-ready.
Why This Matters for DAOs
-
Trust: All numbers reproducible from on-chain data.
-
Auditability: Every transaction linked to a tx hash; methodology fully documented.
-
Rapid Evaluation: PoC possible with just a single address; no integration required.
This approach allows DAOs to validate treasury activity reliably, without relying on opaque tools or black-box solutions.
Try It Out
I’ve prepared a detailed overview of the MVP in Notion, which includes sample reports and methodology:
If you’re interested, I can generate a free PoC report for a DAO address of your choice so you can evaluate the system firsthand. Feedback and questions are very welcome.
This post is intended for discussion and feedback, but also for anyone interested in testing audit-grade DAO treasury reporting. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and exploring potential collaborations.
