Fundamental risks of the ecosystem, distribution, and decentralization of validators!

Due to recent events on October 10, I propose to create a referendum on prohibiting the ownership and creation of validators in the Polkadot ecosystem by owners and their affiliates who hold more than 5% of the total number of DOT. This is necessary to strengthen the decentralization of the ecosystem, reduce the impact of external risks from large owners, and increase the ecosystem’s resistance to hostile takeovers aimed at creating centralized power in the hands of a few. I propose that we all discuss this in light of the current price of DOT on the crypto market.

I’m not aware of what happened specifically the 10th of October, but this seems to go in the right direction towards a resilient economic security for Polkadot.

I wouldn’t call it “diversification” but “distribution”. It could be considered diversification from the point of view of the protocol network, but it is distribution from the point of view of tokenomics.
