Thanks @radha for answering and giving attention to the JAM builders community.
Its rank 3 now ?
I remember some time ago a talk about getting rank 2 for main implementers and rank 1 for the other devs. I havent kept up with JAM since so that might have changes since ?
Hey @tomusdrw ,
Sorry for the delay.

I agree with your view on the activities that you describe as a natural fit. On this website you can see:
Following completion of M1/MN1/ML1, evidence for Polkadot Fellowship rank-retentions (and, where applicable, promotions) may include regular, meaningful contributions to the project.Where the “project” refers to the JAM client implementation. -
This is not defined yet. Rest assured that we will release an update through public channels once we can share something. JAM teams are invited to work on their own testing tools in case Parity doesn’t provide satisfactory tools.
-
We will publish a minimum requirement regarding runtime performance at a later date. This will then define M3 and M4 respectively.
-
We are interested in incentivizing clean room implementations to mitigate a single point of failure. I’d hope this was well communicated.
Our KYB checks include KYC checks of all relevant stakeholders of the company. I hope this voids your concern about the KYB abuse for multiple submissions by the same people.
Services are not in scope of the JAM Prize.
Hello everyone,
I’d like to let you know that we have issued an updated version of the JAM Prize Terms & Conditions. Here is the link to the updated version: T&Cs. We need all current participants to review and re-accept the updated Terms in order to continue in the competition.
What’s changing (summary):
- Earlier payment for milestone 1 (Section 8.4): we will pay milestone 1 earlier than previously anticipated. We will not wait until the Graypaper reaches version 1.0 for milestone 1 payment (the v1.0 graypaper’s ratification timing remains relevant for later milestones as described in Section 8.4).
- Prize ordering & evaluation mechanics clarified (Section 8): we now describe how the Foundation will determine the ordering of eligible submissions (including the role of submission timestamps, internal eligibility thresholds applied consistently, and a potential cure period for non-material issues).
- Graypaper conformance requirement added/clarified (Section 3.5): submissions must be conformant to the latest Graypaper release at the time of Foundation evaluation, including where the Graypaper is updated while you are preparing, submitting, or awaiting review.
- Amendments framework added (Section 13): we’ve added a standard clause that allows the Foundation to update the Terms going forward, with notice of material changes and a right to withdraw if you do not agree to the changes.
Why this benefits you:
- More transparency and predictability on how prize evaluation and ordering are handled (Section 8).
- Earlier milestone 1 payout than previously expected.
Action required
All teams that already have submitted a PR need to accept the new Terms & Conditions in order to continue the competition. We will prompt you to do so in the PR shortly.
If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you may withdraw from the competition at any time
Thank you!
