DOT staking rewards

Hello, can anyone explain why the staking rewards drastically fall whenever there is a price dip, like on 10.OCT?

As far as I understand, besides validator’s performance, rewards are related to amount of dot staked vs inflation.

Considering unbonding period of 28 days, nobody can make a sudden change in amount of DOT staked….

My validator has been the same for over a year.

But sill, whenever there is a price dip, the rewards reduce.

For the past months or so I was getting 0.9 per day, and now suddenly 0.5 - WTF???

I would also like to know.

It concerns me that nobody cares to provide *any* answer.

Is this site really completely filled with scammers sending DM’s to suspicious links?

Price has absolutely no impact on staking rewards (the system has no idea of what the price is and no real way to know). Any observation you notice is likely statistical noise.

Feel free to send your address to https://support.polkadot.network/ (as always don’t share seed, ignore any DMs you get on here, etc.) and they can review it for you to see if there is a reason you are getting less DOT.

The majority of people at Parity, and quite a few at W3F, are at a retreat this week. However, even in general, I would not expect responses on a forum post within a few hours of it being posted.
