I am not so much trying to set up a DAO as to understand why there is a gap in Polkadot DAO tooling and whether there is a need to fill it.
Here is my “zero to DAO” spectrum ![]()
Zero
• group chat, bank account and DAO-in-a-box – it’s the off-chain things that matter the most!
• group chat and a multisig
• lightweight, versatile DAO-tooling with at least token-based voting – EVM
, Polkadot
(the gap I am interested in)
• OpenGov – powerful but complicated
DAO
As someone who recently spent some hours grappling with delegations, proxy and locks, I am not sure I would wish OpenGov on new users!
If mass adoption of DAOs is coming, do we want to leave that to EVM eco tools?
