Consequences of JAM for parachains

After reading the Learn JAM Chain chapter for the first time, I have some questions for the Polkadot community about the potential consequences of JAM for parachain builders in the future.

What should I consider and keep in mind while developing a new parachain today to ensure that future migration to JAM will be easier? I want to avoid over-engineering and focus on adding value.

Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I think it is way to early to answer that question. When the time comes, we will do our best to make it as straight forward as possible. Ideally all you would need to do is upgrade your node ahead of time. Whether it really will be that simple, we will see, but I would strive to get at least as close as possible.

In theory, all we as parachain teams need to do is upgrade the nodes to the latest omni-node that supports JAM and that’s it. Maybe keep an eye on the chain during the upgrading period but otherwise the omni-node should handle everything.
