Bootcamp CodeanDOT x Space4Build

At Space4Build, a developer-focused community, we’re launching CodeanDOT, a virtual bootcamp in Spanish created for women and centered on the Polkadot ecosystem. :growing_heart:

We’ve noticed the low participation of women developers in the ecosystem, along with the lack of technical content in Spanish. That’s why we designed this online bootcamp to promote deeper knowledge of Polkadot among communities of women in tech. We believe everyone can find their place in Polkadot — and that women can thrive and stand out for their talent.

CodeanDOT consists of 4 sessions, blending theory and practice so participants can experiment with available tools, including

And there’s more… We’re actively exploring collaboration with Polkadot Blockchain Academy (PBA-X) to bring more resources in Spanish. Together, we aim to break down language barriers — because learning has no borders and no gender. :woman_teacher:t2::man_technologist:t2:

:globe_showing_europe_africa: Communities Supporting This Initiative:

• H.E.R DAO Global (including Latam subDAOs: Perú, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Bolivia, Chile, Venezuela)
• Women in Polkadot
• PyLadies
• Women Tech Makers Latam
• Technolatinas

We are deeply grateful for the support and invite everyone to share ideas and suggestions. This bootcamp is the result of a dedicated effort by our team, and we hope to reach every corner where Polkadot is still unknown or emerging.

At Space4Build, we are committed to education, development, and innovation.

This will help more people learn about Polkadot technology and will surely be a good way to increase the interest of these communities, considering that Decode+Sub0 will be in Buenos Aires, it makes perfect sense to do it for Spanish-speaking people.

:glowing_star: Recap #CodeanDOT x Space4Build

Over four consecutive Saturdays, we developed CodeanDOT, a bootcamp created to bring more women closer to the Polkadot and Web3 ecosystem. Each session included theory, hands-on practice, and real use cases, while special guests shared inspiring perspectives from business, technical, artistic, and community angles.

A total of 25 women actively participated, many of them exploring coding for the very first time, gaining a deeper understanding of Polkadot, and discovering that in this ecosystem, every woman has a place to grow and shine.

A special thank you to Simón León | @simonxpesimonxpe, who guided us throughout the four sessions, sharing valuable knowledge about Polkadot and introducing participants to the coding world. For many, it was a fun and transformative experience that marked their very first steps toward hackathons. :rocket:

We also want to recognize the women who inspired us with their vision and expertise:

  • Yedid Romero

  • Emmi

  • Karen Luna

  • Ishtar Spring

  • Marilyn Alarcón

  • Florentina

Thank you for showing us that in Web3 and Polkadot, every woman can shine and contribute from her own unique path. :purple_heart:

:sparkles: Key Takeaways

  • Over 25 women successfully completed the bootcamp.

  • Several participants wrote their first lines of code and experienced the excitement of directly experimenting with the technology.

  • The bootcamp inspired many to consider joining future hackathons, strengthening female presence in Web3.

  • We also achieved a tangible impact through independent posts and testimonials on LinkedIn and X, such as those by Cristina Cerezo and Eva Cortez, who publicly shared their learning journey and growth within the ecosystem.

CodeanDOT was not just an event; it was a collective starting point.

In four Saturdays, together we built knowledge, community, and opportunities.
