Blockchain is NOT a Backend – Let’s Discuss

Blockchain offers secure, decentralized verification—but is it really suited for backend tasks? Unlike traditional backends, it’s slower, costly per transaction, and limited in handling complex data processing needs. Many crypto apps rely on traditional backends for good reasons: managing indexing, integrating with offchain data and systems, and in general supporting evolving features.

Should blockchain be reserved for trust and transparency, not core application logic? Thoughts?
