Did Polkadot just abandon Polkadot? At some point we deserve some answers here instead of just watching everything just sink down the drain without even as much as a peep from Parity or W3F?
2-day unbonding has been talked about for the last year, with April 2026, being the release date for that, and of course still nothing.
Should I just unbond for 28 days and sell everything before it goes to zero, before we get ANY announcement from the team here? Does anyone even care? I’m sure you’re all still getting paid, so who cares right? Just run it into the ground.
has the research / dev team considered the scenario in which most of the stake is un-bonded in masse once this referenda is enacted? I think the likelihood of this happening is non-negligible which will be a grave security concern for the stability of the network as a whole.
Not enabling 2 days unlocks can greatly backfire. seems decentralization is not working as expected… I don’t personally care if it is 2 days or 6 months, that is not the point, the point in that this was pushed by everyone and seems it is frozen. It takes 2 to tango, if one leaves… no more tango, and seems that is the way we are going.

There are two main reasons that I can rephrase:
Making nominators unbond-able in 2 days comes with them being non-slashable, which is something that is only secure once majority of validators are abiding by the 10k minimum self-stake. This in itself took a long time. There are also other similar security concerns that have to be navigated.
Polkadot’s upgrade mechanism are ultimately not a single button that a team/person can press and enact any change. It takes time to go through the onchain voting. Since 2 day unbonding was was the 3rd referendum in a sequence, and the former 2 had their own variation in time, adhering to exact timelines is not easy.
I think it’s just dumb where Polkadot is heading. No information for the roadmap, just a dead-end with developers on here just agreeing with each other on topics no one cares about.
Likewise, I don’t care about it being 2 days or 30 days, it’s just that, don’t talk about doing something, hype it up, then not do it (it wasn’t even proposed, that’s why I’m so mad about this topic). This network is literally a ghost chain at this point, what we don’t need is things not being done, after they were mentioned of going ahead. Like JAM, nowhere to be seen.
Just hide more of my posts if you don’t agree with me. It’s not the first time. Not allowed to say anything bad about Polkadot because you guys are doing everything right, right?
