What are the use cases of JAM?

I’ve read a bit about JAM and I’m familiar with the DOOM demo where an executable is shared amongst lots of different blockchain nodes and, I suppose, proof of DOOM being played is the output. I’ve also seen mention of lots of VMs being spun up using JAM.

What does this translate to in terms of user applications? Are there teams working on verifiability for anti-cheat engines based on JAM? Or audit trails for AI outputs? Interested to hear of anyone working on user facing applications using JAM.
