Post-Event Report: Coindesk Consensus Polkadot Activation 2024

Hey All - Providing a Post-Event Report for Consensus 2024. Below is a TLDR but the full link to the report can be found here! Happy to answer any questions or take any comments.

Polkadot’s activation at Consensus 2024 was nothing short of spectacular! We transformed our traditional booth into a dynamic experience with four interactive stops: “Play,” “Interact,” “Enterprise,” and “Build.” Visitors got to race against Conor Daly, explore NFTs, engage with different ecosystem teams, and dive deep into Polkadot’s tech. This setup ensured everyone had a memorable journey through the Polkadot ecosystem. Securing the best spot right by the main entrance, our vibrant and eye-catching booth drew between 2,000 and 3,500 visitors. Activities ranged from live racing events to engaging fireside chats with our ecosystem teams, garnering phenomenal feedback.

Exiled Studios blew us away with the PolkadotGo app, an interactive scavenger hunt game that seamlessly onboarded users into the Polkadot world, although it was more like a test run this team knocked it out of the park. The app allowed visitors to collect NFTs, earn points, and win prizes effortlessly, making it a hit that we plan to keep for future events. Our social media efforts resulted in over 1.5 million impressions and a 3.85% engagement rate on Twitter, while media coverage was overwhelmingly positive, particularly highlighting our booth’s design and the exciting announcement of the Pudgy Penguins mobile game.

While we gathered around 335 leads through various methods, we understand the need to simplify our CTAs and streamline our lead collection process. Additionally, the lack of a dedicated business development team made real-time engagement challenging. Nonetheless, our partnerships with the ecosystem showcased a diverse array of projects, earning praise across the conference. In conclusion, Consensus 2024 was a refreshing accomplishment for Polkadot, demonstrating our innovative spirit and laying the groundwork for even more impactful events in the future.
