Polkadot Socials Daily Digest: 2026-10-22

As the author of the 4 Kusama OpenGov proposals concerning Kusama’s future infrastructure on Polkadot’s JAM, I can confirm that this claim is incorrect.

The proposals seek a mandate for Kusama to outsource its security and infrastructure requirements to JAM Prime through a prepaid arrangement, with a payment ceiling of 5 million DOT originating from the Kusama Vision Fund.

Such a payment would constitute revenue for the DOT DAO. None of the proposals seeks to overturn Referendum 1926 or alter the existing JAMKB burn policy.

If Kusama governance selects one of these infrastructure proposals, it will be entirely up to Polkadot governance to decide whether to accept the arrangement and how to account for and allocate any resulting revenue. Any such decision would be a separate matter for the DOT DAO.
