Paseo Updates

After successfully completing the migration to the new Paseo testnet chain, we’d like to share a few updates:

Release of the new Paseo Dashboard

As part of the new operating model, we’re releasing the beta version of the Paseo dashboard:

https://polkadot-testnet.r0gue.io

This dashboard provides general information on Paseo’s status, including RPC endpoints, chain specs, Bulletin storage metrics, Coretime allocations, and relay and system chain liveness.
Our plan is to keep adding functionality over time, such as live SLO tracking, PAS documentation, and other information useful to builders and the community.

This dashboard is not intended to replace developer consoles such as the PAPI console or PJS, nor block explorers.

Governance proposal passed for H2

The proposal covering H2 costs has been approved and executed. We want to thank everyone in the community who supported the proposal, and for those who didn’t, you know where to reach us with feedback on what we need to improve.

Subscan offboarding

As communicated previously, and formally stated in the governance proposal, the Paseo project needs a significant cost reduction to keep operations running. As a result, the Paseo team and curators have decided to remove costs related to tooling, reporting, logs, and other items outside Paseo’s primary function.
For this reason, Subscan’s operating costs for Paseo will no longer be covered starting this H2, and the explorer will end its support for Paseo. The Subscan team has been extremely supportive and communicative throughout, and they’ve announced the shutdown will take place in the coming weeks.
Should the Subscan team wish to include Paseo in a future proposal of their own, we’d be happy to support that effort.

Thank you very much.
The Paseo team
