Open discussion on the role of Polkadot JAM in cross-chain coordination and economic sovereignty

Hi everyone

I’m curious about how JAM fits with modular approaches that focus on off-chain zk computation and letting each app or chain keep control of its own economy.

Some questions I’d like to discuss:

• What are the main advantages JAM offers for cross-chain programmable coordination?

• How might JAM complement or differ from modular stacks that separate computation and data availability (e.g. light zk + ZODA + Celestia)?

• Are there trade-offs when using a shared coordination layer like JAM in terms of economic incentives or token sovereignty?

• Could JAM become an optional service that supports different economic models without centralizing value?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and perspectives. Open to all ideas
