Non-custodial USDC settlement for Global commodity trade on Polkadot (Asset Hub + PolkaVM)

Hello commuity.

We’re building Agroasys Web3 Layer: a non-custodial settlement engine for real commodity trade (escrow + Ricardian contracts + oracle-based logistics milestones) settling in native USDC on Polkadot Asset Hub.

We also plan to stress-test PolkaVM with real “if/then/else” trade logic and publish benchmarks/lessons.

Full discussion, milestones, and phased budget are here: Discussion: #3411

We’d really value feedback on:

  1. Oracle design: single attester vs quorum, evidence model, replay/idempotency patterns

  2. Escrow state machine: cancel/expiry/dispute holds, partial release/penalty patterns

  3. Indexing/reconciliation: best practices for “on-chain truth vs DB state”

  4. PolkaVM assumptions: what benchmarks the ecosystem wants to see

  5. Milestone sequencing: what’s “must-have” in Phase 1 for credibility

  6. Any advice or constructive criticism

Thanks, happy to iterate in public.

Hey Aston,

I know a number of builders are stuck getting support and funding including those building solutions for the African market as we had a number of good projects from 2025 Polkadot hackathon.

UNICEF is providing equity free funding for blockchain solutions and upto $100,000 for emerging markets.

Check out their article for more details, deadline is 10th March 2026, 5 days from now and use Polkadot
