As Zeitgeist currently faces the challenge of migrating from Kusama to Polkadot, I decided to condense all the necessary information into a guide, since it is foreseeable that many more projects will face this challenge. It describes the process from a conceptual perspective, provides all the technical details necessary to actually execute the migration and also offers methods to recover a failed migration in different contexts.
I want to thank KILT (the first team to ever migrate from Kusama to Polkadot) and especially Dudley and Albrecht from Kilt for reaching out a hand during the early stages and providing crucial information.
