Bohemia Outpost - local community building

This is my approach towards building local web3 communities.

I was thinking about being perfect. About trying to provide an in depth reasoning for what I am trying to do. Well in all honesty, that was what was stoping me the whole time. Just do shit and ask question later. If you have reputation, of course. If you don’t, build rep. It’s simple.

I tried to be perfect, I tried to explain my thinking, but that was exactly what was stoping me. That is just not how OpenGov works. It is all about reputation and skin in the game. Just risk it.

You might say how the fuck reputation works within a system where on-chain reputation doesn’t exist? It’s about the people, connect and get to know them. On-chain reputation will come, but that is just a tool, not the goal.

My plan is quite simple.

Start with building a community. How do you ask? Polkadot Roots. Honesty. Make monthly meetups, show your goals and use time to build a community over time. You might build it fast or you might not and it will take time. Shit happens. Just take action. Incentive and strong connections is what matters. That is what Polkadot provides.

Next? Build Parity. Wtf why Parity? Polkadot is decentralized, that doesn’t make sense. Well it really does. In order to make a Foundation you need to have a strong team, without it, it just won’t take Root. Think about Parachains, most people hate them, but they just worked….

For me it is Pluto Labs, team of dedicated people, interested in the true values of web3. Don’t take shortcuts. Just build.

Don’t push it, it’s about You, Your trust in your inner circle and what you believe web3 is about. If you build your rep and trust in what web3 is, you will know where to take the Foundation You wanna build. Just trust yourself and go with the flow. You will fail, but you will learn so much more.

My approach is not perfect, but trying is what matters:

Build Bohemia Fam (Build a strong community and a foundation that is a family, friends and a group of like minded individuals who are genuinely interested in web3.) Just let it flow.

Build Pluto Labs (Local team that has a drive, technical knowledge and wants to build open source tools for sovereign individuals.) Just make shit happen.

Build Bohemia Web3 Academy (Local platform that can provide a neutral ground for builders, businesses, academia, governments and municipalities to building web3, open-source tools to create a foundation for tomorrow.) Just create.

Your perspective and reputation is what matters. People will always have a different opinion, but sometimes, they will agree with you. Just try it.

How do I make it happen? This is my plan for next year:

Innovation week sponsorship for Polkadot: 15k USD from EB Bounty (https://www.innovationweek.ai/)

Bohemia Roots funding through EB where I get funds to organize monthly meetups and kick start Czech community- started in november 2024 with approx 200 USD a meetup

PlutoFramework funding: OpenGov let what we build speak for itself (tech foundation) first funding around 10k USD plus a few hackathon rewards

Bohemia Web3 Academy: OpenGov - tech is great but, we need students to start using it which is why we need to have a neutral and fun ground where we can show what Polkadot ecosystem is about (social foundation) - planning an OpenGov proposal to take it of the ground and keep it independent

Bohemia App we just hack and talk with ecosystem teams to try and help them how can we help them to make their apps more easily usable and compliant with regulation. - get funding from academia and government to get the Polkadot tech stack towards institutions

You can always find an excuse not to do shit. All I try to do is, to show there is no better way to build resilient and sovereign tools, then to use Polkadot. I am not perfect, but I know web3 is the way to go.

Just be Polkadot Agent
