Hey all. Been a while since my last post. With the price of DOT being abysmal, and the powers that be seeming to conspire to destory its resale value, I didn’t want to wait to announce help is on the way, and also announce the airdrop (why I’m posting here at all).
I built a new blockchain. It’s been a lot of work over the past few months (8 to 15 hour days for weeks on end), but testnet is around the corner. In a nutshell, its a polkadot sdk fork, with the polkadot tech debt removed from the crates, structures culled (relay chain, asset hub, revive, etc) so it is an L1 chain that runs on RISC-V and NOT wasm. Its BYO wallet, and allows for ethereum, solana, polkadot, etc wallet addresses which brings me to the airdrop.
I plan to take a snapshot of the DOT holders, and populate those who’s holdings were under 20k DOT and give them a 1:1 token airdrop on my network. Think of it as a lifeboat. I plan to tie up my tokens in escrow like Ripple does with XRP over a 3 year vesting window because I believe in the product.
Back to the chain: it will be NPoS, but without 28 day unlock periods. It’ll be 2 days. Governance doesnt allow the oldest contractor scam in the book of allowing the treasury to pay half now, while the contractor absconds with the tokens.
The chain uses RPC, but primarily uses a mobile app that is planned for a closed beta on the Google Play store.
Currently the chain already has a DNS where address owners mint and manage registered names, which are resolvable for web2 clients via a DNS UDP port. There is also an ephemeral messaging system that writes nothing to disk. A mobile app user can send and receive e2ee messages that are encrypted at rest and in-flight to other mobile app users, as well as send dead drops… Eve can’t tell that Bob and Alice are communicating. Oh, and its free to use.
If you have android and want to participate in the closed beta when testnet is up, feel free to DM me.
