# The XCM v3 release date at Kusama and Polkadot

Hi everyone!  
Is there any specific date (or period) when the XCM v3 will land on Kusama and Polkadot?

It was [merged into the main branch](https://github.com/paritytech/polkadot/pull/4097) 2 weeks ago. So I’d expect it to be in the next release.

More importantly, what’s the testing plan to ensure all the existing XCM code still works after Kusama / Statemine upgrade?
