**Current Context** : In the Polkadot ecosystem, **there are currently 23 active bounties** ([doTreasury | Empower treasury with credit building](https://polkadot.dotreasury.com/#/bounties)) that offer rewards to those who contribute to the development and expansion of the network. **These bounties have received 4,972,449 Dots from the treasury**.

 ![bounty asignation](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/flex005/uploads/polkadot2/original/2X/b/b2888f8cccf8297c387afc894b31863626996c65.jpeg)

However, information about these bounties is scattered and not easily accessible to the community.

**Problem**

**Difficulty of Access** : Information about bounties is found on different platforms and there is no easily accessible place where interested parties can quickly and easily consult the current status of each one.

**Limited Visibility** : Polkadot’s [main page](https://polkadot.com/blog/the-ultimate-2024-polkadot-grants-and-funding-guide) only shows details of two bounties (Polkadot DeFi Infrastructure & Tooling Bounty and Polkadot Games Bounty), which does not reflect the totality of the available opportunities.

**Lack of Transparency** : Communication of progress and results by those responsible is not always the best, in some cases they mention the presentation of this information in specific sections of the main proposals that after being approved do not comply with it.

**Possible Solution** - To address these problems, I propose the following:

**Creation of a Bounty Index**

Design and develop a specific web page within the official Polkadot domain dedicated exclusively to bounty information that has data such as: responsible, objectives, work plan, contact channels, level of progress and results report.

On this page, it is important to list all active bounties with details such as description, original proposal link, reward, requirements and deadlines.
Provide direct links to each bounty page for detailed information.

**Discord Channel for Bounties**

Create specific channels within the official Polkadot Discord server for each bounty.

In these channels, participants and maintainers can interact, ask questions, share actual progress, goals achieved, and receive real-time updates on activities related to each bounty.

**Additional elements**

**Data to improve visibility** : On the Polkadot main page, highlight the bounty section with statistics such as the percentage of bounties completed, the total rewards distributed, and the number of active participants.

**Constant Update** : Keep the bounty page and Discord channels updated in real-time. Add new bounties as they are released and remove completed bounties.

**Benefits**

**Transparency** : Stakeholders will have clear and direct access to information on all bounties.

**Active Participation** : Facilitate participation and collaboration in the development of Polkadot.

**Informed Community** : The community will be aware of the available opportunities and will be able to contribute more effectively.

I leave the discussion open so that everyone can share their ideas about the problems detected and the possible solutions proposed. If incorrect information is detected please notify t do the correction

> Transparency in OpenGov is essential to fostering the trust and loyalty of the community, investors, and holders. This concept involves sharing relevant and accurate information about operations, finances, and other key areas of a government. However, achieving a good level of transparency to the point of pleasing everyone is not an easy task; it requires a strong ethical commitment from all parties involved. One of the weaknesses I’ve encountered these days is access to tracking approved boun…

[The Bounties Book](https://tan-xenacious-basilisk-976.mypinata.cloud/ipfs/Qmf2nBtJTuvwefFxBTUXQfLWr9MCXjaEasvaV2TY9yUE1X) by @lilymendzdev is a great resource to share. @ChrawnnaCorp asked a valid question, though: how will people find this document?

It would be good if Distractive (FYI @distractivexime @distractivekatie @DotDotApe) created a way for community members to easily suggest adding these types of resources on the website. Distractive could then screen what to add. These resources can have a multiplying positive effect, as long as they are kept up-to-date, but if no one finds them later the effort to create them has been wasted.

This particular bounty book could be added [here](https://polkadot.com/treasury):

PS. Here’s an explanation from @replghost why we should encourage this type of behavior and [tip people](https://polkadot.subsquare.io/referenda/1211) who have shown to take initiative:

[PolkaWiki](https://wiki.polkadot.network/) has an interesting way to addres edit suggestion via Github.

In each page it possible to find the edit button

Trying to use a similar method could help to show more update info in the Polkadot main website throught people collaboration

It is a good resource and will be better if it’s easily accessible, but I’d advise some caution since even a quick perusal reveals multiple errors.

Hello, since the work I am doing is directly related to the question of _“how to give visibility to the polkadot ecosystem resources”_, I’d like to share a very brief update on the progress I have been doing from my part trying to solve the _access_ and _visibility_ challenge along with my vision of the overall situation.

* * *

All ecosystem resources, including those in the attached [sheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1GHrFFpaIB7FDRK1eIQjRdnItqwJXtBT6viv7ZqV-QvE/edit?usp=sharing), are easily accessible today on the dablock portal and its associated resources. While the ecosystem bounties landing page is still pending (although there are already a couple of derived posts), we are prioritizing a complete migration of the site and its content to a new **open-source** platform. This will allow for seamless collaboration on managing and expanding content, in almost the same way how the Polkadot wiki has been operating through GitHub. Additionally, the new platform will support versioning in multiple languages.

Along with this migration, the portal will transition to the **polkadotecosystem(.)com** new domain to improve identification and avoid confusion. What we have been doing all this time is create a free and open tool to take as reference for all educational/marketing teams and related portals, ensuring the entire ecosystem is categorized and well-defined, with all its elements interrelated and in one central location.

We aim to have this migration ready, with an initial working version, before the next edition of **Sub0** , so that all the resources and summaries derived from the talks of this one are uploaded directly to the new portal. Solving the problem of URLs with duplicate content along with the migration, since to date +120 URLs with resources and summaries of derived talks have already been accumulated (a little bit more of info [here](https://x.com/DaBlockDAO/status/1842886577590243571)).

* * *

In any case, apart from this brief update, the best places to share and give visibility to this type of generated resources, **once they are cured and corrected (!)**, in addition to the main informative/educational portals of the ecosystem such as the current _polkadot wiki_, _dablock_ or the new/future _polkadot_ official site, is of course on the main governance platforms such as _ **Subsquare** _ and _ **Polkassembly** _ (which btw could become very good informative portals too if they were worked in that way).

### _Timeless visibility lies in good organization. Just as the best marketing lies in good documentation._

1. Centralization and well definition of resources in **open-source information portals** to facilitate access to them and their dissemination.
2. Simplification of clear **varied** and democratic communication channels (outside the inefficient and highly manipulable Twitter bubble, _please stop twitter spaces, change it for a youtube livestreams_).
3. Clear and easy-to-follow routes for collaborating, to achieve **greater gamification** and simplification of the process.
4. **Online reputation system** for collaborators based on an _aMbAsSaDoRs_ program or whatever name started from the base (_by an initial team of HA in office (?)_) that helps to foster the **feeling of belonging**.
5. **Incentivize** these collaborators.

### 5.5 _ **Spread love and Polkadot** _, see you at the Plaza 🫶.

Yeah, that’s why any resources shared need to be fact-checked and updated continuously. Another version is the [Bounties Table](https://opengovwatch.notion.site/Polkadot-OpenGov-Portal-f8baf91a46864144ae96c47173a10225) by the OpenGov Watch.
